Goals with meaning

I don’t know about any of you but I’ve started and stopped many diets (including the 21 day fix) and exercise routines over the years. I recently came to the conclusion that I’m a self sabotager, for all intents and purposes. I never wanted to think past looking better. Who doesn’t want to look better? Sadly, I never had real reasons to want to stick with it. To want to make those hard life changes. I mean, I didn’t put the weight on in a week. Why would I expect it to all come off in a week? I’m also well aware that I’m not alone in this situation.

The other day I was talking with a friend and I said “I work hard to be this overweight” and that really stuck. I do work out, usually 5 – 6 days a week, but the scale won’t budge. I’ve known for a while that the issue is with my diet. Seriously, who wants to stop eating the deliciously bad for you things! I’m someone who works really well with accountability. So, I decided to take the plunge and become a Beachbody coach. That meant looking hard at what I wanted, so here goes…

The real reasons I want to make it work this time:

1. I want to be able to fit into my wedding ring again. It’s been about a year since I’ve been able to wear it and I hate that.

2. I want to run without pain and get faster.

3. I want to complete my first half ironman and do well

This time I plan to get better and complete each goal one at a time. I’m excited to say that I’m done week one of my commitment to 21 day fix and I’m down 3 pounds. Now onto 5lbs and hopefully a completed goal 1!!

Stay tuned!!
